Everybody’s Birthday:
A big thank you to all who helped out w/last Sun. night’s Everybody’s Birthday Party. 125+ attended this fun-filled evening. We appreciate Myra planning the event & those who provided decorations, birthday cakes & entertainment.

Financial Help:
As mentioned in last week’s bulletin, we’ve received a request for financial help from an Atlanta Bible College student who writes in part, "Anything you can spare will be a blessing and will be very much appreciated." (More details can e provided)

Ski Retreat:
The Carolina Conference Ski Retreat is now less than 2 weeks away! If you have not registered, please do so today!

Christian Workers Seminar:
It’s also time to consider attending the 40th annual Christian Workers Seminar in Pigeon Forge, TN. Keep in mind that the local church pays ¼ of the 4-to-a room tuition rate; the Carolina Conference will also pay a portion of your tuition.

Our New Deacon:
At last week’s board meeting, George Jordan was selected to replace David Sloan as a Guthrie Grove Deacon. We’re honored that George has agreed to serve; please continue to support all our board members and church officers.

A tentative trip to see the Greenville Road Warriors (Hockey) in planned for Friday night, March 1st. Speak to Pastor Jim if you’re interested in this outing.

General Conference 2013:
If interested in serving as a 2013 General Conference Delegate, please contact Joe James or one of the pastors. Business sessions are held during the day.

The DAV is recruiting volunteers to drive veterans from Anderson to Columbia for appointments. Those who respond to this important need will receive a free, comprehensive medical check. See Wayne for more info.

Elevator Fund:
A Guthrie Grove Elevator Fund has been established. If you’d like to contribute to this project, please speak to a trustee.

Attendance Numbers:
Average attendance for January was 168. Please pay attention to your own regular attendance/invite your family & friends to join you for worship.

Super Bowl XLVII:
A match-up between the Baltimore Ravens & the San Francisco 49’ers. Myra Montgomery will be certainly be glued to the TV;  nothing rattles Myra when her 49’ers are playing! During the recent play-offs, Pastor Mike shrieked from the kitchen, "Myra, there’s a horsefly in here!" Not taking her eyes off the screen, she barked back, "Give it some cough syrup"
