Edith Smith:
Enjoying a 99th birthday party at the church yesterday was Edith Smith.  What a milestone for a very special friend and sister in Christ!

We extend our love & sympathy to Betty & the family upon the death of Harold.  Funeral services were held this past Tuesday at Guthrie Grove; interment was at Greenville Memorial Gardens.  We long for the Day in which there is no sorrow, sickness, pain or death.  We thank those who helped with the bereavement meal served following interment, and remind you to please pay your money each month to your Bereavement Committee Leader.

Vacation Bible School begins today and runs through Friday evening (Picnic). Make plans to attend Weird Animals- Where Jesus’ Love is One-of-a-Kind. Enjoy story time, crafts, games & snacks; classes for ALL ages.  We appreciate                                                     all who have helped decorate, design postcards, etc. as well as all those who are serving as teachers, helpers, leaders.

Sister’s Act:
Thanks to Sister’s Act for planting flowers at the church this past week.  We appreciate all who help to beautify God’s House and the church grounds.

SE Camp:
Camp forms are now available!  Please register for SE Camp by picking up a form in the youth room.  SE camp is for grades 4th through age 22 yrs.  Registration must be postmarked by June 7th.  FUEL registration forms are available at tpym.com or abc-coggc.org.  The early-bird rate ($365) must be postmarked BEFORE June 15th.

Nominating Committee:
We appreciate the work of this year’s Nominating Committee (Thompson Smith, Chair).  Thanks as well to those who agreed to serve in various positions.

Betty & David Hall:
Many who attended Oregon Bible College fondly remember Betty & David Hall who served as house parents and kitchen & maintenance staff.  A service of remembrance will held at the Oregon Church of God on Sat., June 7th at 11 am. There will be a time for sharing memories; if you’d like to share, contact Randy Hall at rmhall@grics.net.

Children of Change:
Glennis Walters would be happy to tell you more about a new non-profit called Children of Change.  They are collecting 2 liter glass/plastic bottles, as well as other types of bottles (Juice/water, etc.).

Thank You Card:
Dear Church Family and Youth Department.  Thank you so much for the gifts and kind words you sent my way for graduation.  It is wonderful to be a part of such a loving church family.  The music and CD’s will be well used during my many hours in the car. Thanks again!  Love, Amy (Lanford)
