Welcome to Guthrie Grove Church of God; we are glad that you are here. This is the Advent Season.  Advent, a Latin word for coming is a time to prepare our hearts and minds for the birth of God's Son Jesus, as well as to look forward to His glorious Second Coming.  The flame of each new candle on the Advent Wreath reminds us something is happening-but something more is still to come.

A pair of earrings were lost at last Sunday evening's cantata; please give them to Pastor Mike who will return them to their rightful owner.  Thanks.

Cantata:
Attending last Sunday evening's cantata were all the daughters of Merle Saylors-   Alta, Glenda, Diane, Runette, Verena, Karen and Denise.  We appreciate all who attended, as well as those who brought refreshments for the fellowship.   Special thanks to Thompson Smith for ordering/delivering the fruit and to all those who helped fill the treat bags that were distributed after the cantata last Sunday evening.  Thanks to Bobby Partain for making special deliveries to those who were unable to attend the choir's presentation this year.                                        There are still some beautiful Christmas Bookmarks left over from the cantata bulletin.  Pick one up if you didn't already get one, or if you would like to share a bookmark with a friend, neighbor or family member.

Poinsettia:
If you ordered a Poinsettia in memory or honor of a loved one, please take it home after the worship service this morning, or after the Christmas Eve Service.
According to Ask the Garden Doctor, give Poinsettias bright light and allow them to slightly dry between watering.
