August 12, 2012

Welcome to Guthrie Grove Church of God; we're glad that you are here. Psa. 130:6: My soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning. Our hope is as sure as the coming of dawn; what would we do without it? We wait in hope for the Lord; He is our help & our shield. In Him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in His holy name. (Psa. 33:20-21)

As seen on a tombstone near Pigeon Forge:
"Remember, man, as you pass by, as you are now, so once was I. As I am now, you soon shall be. Prepare now for eternity."
