We appreciate all who helped make last week's "High Seas Expedition" (Vacation Bible School) a success. Thanks to Sherry Alcumbrack, Amy Lanford, all those who helped decorate, teach, & assist in any way. Over 150 attended the Sunday evening opening session, with a large number in attendance at Thursday night's finale. Thanks to everyone!

Southeast Youth Camp begins next Sunday afternoon! An exciting week is planned at the Appalachian Campground near Blowing Rock, NC. Pastors Mike and Jim will serve on staff this year, along w/several others from the Grove. Please contact the elders if a need arises during the week. The Joel & LaBreeska Hemphill Concert is nearly here! We expect a large number from our community to attend, and a good showing from Guthrie Grove, as well. A time of fellowship/refreshments will follow-please help out by bringing desserts and or/homemade ice cream.
The Hemphill's will have books and CD's available for purchase.

MEN: Interested in a Sunday afternoon Outing (Jul 11) at Paris Mtn. State Park? Bring a sack lunch or grab a quick meal on the way after church & meet at the park. (Church Van is a possibility) Spend the afternoon hiking (3.5 mile loop: Sulphur Springs Trail or 2.6 mile loop: Brissy Ridge Trail), fishing in 15-acre Lake Placid (Valid SC license required), boating (Canoes, pedal boats, kayaks can be rented: subject to availability) or just relaxing in the shade. Enjoy a picnic supper at the Shelter before departing. Park admission is as follows: $2/adult; $1.25/SC Senior; free/15 & younger.
