We are saddened by the death of our sister in Christ, Jessie Belle Leopard. Her funeral service was conducted this past Tues. afternoon by Pastors Montgomery & Winner. Special thanks to all who helped out with the Bereavement Luncheon. We long for the day there is no more pain, sorrow, sickness, or death. Come, Lord Jesus.
Thanks to our Sunday School Superintendent and all who participated in this morning's Promotion Sunday Program. If you are willing to serve as a substitute Sunday School teacher in the upcoming year, please speak to Nikki.
This evening (During the Youth Mini-Musical) there will be a special love offering taken to help assist Jeff Simpson with expenses accrued from Beth's illness. As customary, this offering will stay open for 2 weeks.
We want YOU to participate in our Christmas Cantata (Joy, Joy, Joy) this year. Please come to next Sunday afternoon's first practice and get acquainted with this year's musical.

Ashlynn Jordan's Discipleship Class is beginning a study of basic doctrines next Sunday. All are welcome to attend. Come and increase your understanding of basic truths and how to share them with others.
The Guthrie Grove Board has decided to form a Study Committee to identify needs and possible solutions to the needs of future physical facilities. If you are interested in serving in this capacity, please let a board member know.
Pastors Mike and Jim, along with Jim Mattison, enjoyed a trip to Flowery Branch, GA, and a visit with Eunice Browning last Thursday. Please continue to remember all our shut-in members & friends in your prayers.
Attention men of all ages: Mark your calendars for next Saturday at 8:00 am. Breakfast will be served, and a devotional/time of fellowship enjoyed by all.
The BYF will be taking orders for the Palmetto Praise "Grove" T-shirts. ($12 per shirt- please pay when ordering) Orders will be taken beginning Sun., Sept. 7 through Sun., Sept. 21. See Chris James for details.
Guthrie Grove now has a podcast. Sermons will now be available for free download from our website and iTunes.
Sunday, September 14, Michael Smith will be taking pictures of Sunday School classes for the website. He would also like for the Deacons & Trustees to meet at the pulpit for about 10 minutes after the sermon for group photos.
We're glad to have our Junior Church children join us for worship today. Thanks Jr. Church teachers & helpers!
